v2.8.9 Patch Notes

 

The highly anticipated Legendary Season has finally arrived! This season of Legion of Frostborne not only introduces a new level cap but also marks the beginning of a new ear for Alliance Cooperation—the Professional Contract System is now live, the all-new Altar offense and defense mechanics have been deployed, and more growth and combat mechanics have been comprehensively upgraded. This season will no longer be solely a clash of military strength, but a true trial of team roles, strategic planning, and coordinated operations.

 

Professional Contract System

To further enhance the Alliance Cooperation experience and deepen seasonal strategic depth, this Legendary Season [Legion of Frostborne] will introduce the all-new Professional Contract System. For the first time, Lords will have distinct Profession roles, allowing them to assume unique strategic positions within the Alliance by leveraging their specific professional abilities. Additionally, this update will introduce the Altar Stone offense and defense mechanics, along with Unit Boost Items.

 

1. Opening Time

Takes effect after Legendary Season [Legion of Frostborne] begins.

 

2. Battlefield Changes and Mechanism Adjustments

 

1) Legion of Frostborne: Cities & Checkpoints – New Third Form

Cities and checkpoints in Legion of Frostborne now have a third form [Energy Core], which will be exposed after Wall Durability reaches 0 and the number of Defenders reaches 0.

Attacking Energy Cores: Energy Cores can only be attacked by Altar Stones.

If multiple Federation alliances attack a city/checkpoint together, the city/checkpoint will belong to the alliance that reduces target’s Energy Core to 0.

 

2) New Building: Altar Stone 

Altar Stones are new auto-defense buildings for alliances that can protect cities/checkpoints and actively attack enemies.

 

A. Construction and Production 

a. Altar Stones require materials manufactured by the alliance's contracted Master Craftsman, and Alchemists can produce Altar Stones using these materials, while alliance R6/R5 members can select the location for construction.

b. Altar Stones can only be constructed within your alliance's field of view and have a limited duration. If not destroyed before the time limit expires, they will automatically disappear.

c. Altar Stone attributes are determined by the Alchemist's attribute talent level at the time of production.

 

B. Attack Targets and Selection

R6/R5 members can manually select Altar Stone attack targets (Lord troops cannot be selected, only system-designated). Alliance members can increase Altar Stone’s single-attack damage by garrisoning the Altar Stone.

 

C. Altar Stone’s Attack Priority

Once built, Altar Stones will auto-attack targets within their building's field of view. Attack priority: Energy Core > Altar Stones of other alliances> Lord Castle > Lord Troops (including marching troops and gathering troops).

 

D. Defense Restrictions and Removal Rules

a. Altar Stones can only be demolished by Altar Stones of other alliances. Lord troops cannot directly attack them.

b. Altar Stones are not permanent buildings and have a limited duration. If not destroyed within the time limit, they will automatically disappear.

 

3. Unit Boost Items

Added Boost Items for Units that can strengthen unit attributes for a limited number of expeditions.

 

1) Usage Restrictions 

Unit Boost Items can only be used within Legendary Season [Legion of Frostborne], and only take effect during the current season of production. They will be cleared when the season ends.

 

2) Usage Attempt Rules 

A. Each Unit Boost Item has a usage limit and must be manually activated.

B. Once the Unit Boost Item are fully consumed, a new item can be used to replenish the charge count.

 

3) How to Obtain

Unit Boost Items can be obtained through Master Craftsman production/gift pack purchases.

 

4) Item Distribution Rules

A. Distribution Time

Unit items produced by alliance members will be distributed via mail at 00:00 UTC the following day to alliance members who were active on the KvK map the previous day.

B. Handling Insufficient Distribution

If the quantity of items produced is insufficient to meet the minimum distribution threshold (per capita distributable quantity < 1), they will be temporarily stored in the Alliance Warehouse. The system will then distribute them once the minimum per capita distribution quantity is met.

C. Handling Remaining Items

Following the daily distribution, any remaining quantity of items (insufficient for per capita distribution) will be temporarily stored in the Alliance Warehouse. This remaining portion will then be used in the next day's distribution calculation.

 

4. Lord Contract System

Lord Contracts allow alliance members to take on different responsibilities, strengthening cooperative combat power through professional talents and mission rewards.

 

1) Contract Types

New Lord Contracts added, with three contract types: Master Craftsman, Alchemist, and Fighting Master. Lords can sign Lord Contracts with alliance members during the preparation period after successfully registering for Legion of Frostborne. Contract Talents are then unlocked during the war period by completing achievement tasks to earn Contract Crystals.

A. Master Craftsman: The essential support force of the alliance. Can produce Altar Stone materials and unit items for alliance members.

B. Alchemist: Can construct Altar Stones and enhance their capabilities.

C. Fighting Master: Can obtain various combat buffs and enhance their alliance's capability for warfare.

 

2) Contract Selection

A. After successfully registering for the Legion of Frostborne, the Lord's Contract can be selected during the preparation period.

B. The preparation period is the pre-selection time, and professions can be changed at any time.

C. Professions will be locked when the war period begins and cannot be changed during the current season.

D. If professions have not been selected before war begins, the system will assign Fighting Master to them by default.

 

3) Quota Restrictions

Each type of Lord Contract within an alliance will have a limited quota.

 

4) Contract Development

A. Each contract has an exclusive talent tree. Talents must be activated progressively by investing Contract Crystals, with the talent tree providing buffs and exclusive functions with each corresponding investment.

B. Contract Crystal Acquisition Methods:

a. Obtained through Legion of Frostborne achievement tasks

b. Obtained through gift packs

 

5) Contract Gold

A. Complete Contract Tasks (such as producing materials, obtaining Altar Stones, or attacking Lords) to earn Contract Gold. Contract Gold can be exchanged for items in the End-of-Season Contract Shop.

B. Different professions have different Contract Gold acquisition methods. Daily acquisition has limits. Once the limit is reached, no more can be obtained.

C. Contract Gold will reset at season end or server migration, please use promptly.

 

6) Contract Gems

Contract Gems can be obtained from Expedition Battle Pass and are used to exchange for items in shops. Contract Gems will not be cleared and are a permanent resource.

 

New Additions

 

1. New Immortal: Medusa 

The brand new Chaos Immortal Queen Medusa descends upon the continent of Norheim. Immortal Class: Range, Troop Type: Archer.

 

1Gaze of Silence:

 

[Passive] After battle starts, deals physical damage (Damage Rate x%) to all enemies every 6s (passive skill damage). Damage against targets with Mark of Revenge increased by 30%.

[Active] Remove all debuffs from self and unleash a beam of petrification on all enemies with y% chance to petrify targets for 3s. Adds Mark of Revenge to targets that resist petrification, lasting 3s.

2) Exclusive Treasure [Twin Serpent Bracelet]:

2. New Skill: Divine Blessing

Tower of Knowledge adds legendary aura skill [Divine Blessing]: Reduces Ultimate Skill damage received by all allies by X% upon entering battle.

Optimizations

 

1. Immortal Specialization Unlock Optimization

Opening Time Adjusted as Follows

1) Preparation Season: Unlocks after server launch≥30 days. Skills can be upgraded to Level 2

2) Elite Dungeons and Monthly Card: Unlocks after server launch≥30 days, but Elite Dungeon challengeable stages cannot exceed corresponding Normal Dungeon progress. Normal Dungeon stages must be completed first.

3) S1 Season: Skills can be upgraded to Level 5

4) S2 Season: Skills can be upgraded to Level 8

 

2. Throne of the Supreme Upgrade 

The Throne of the Supreme will be temporarily closed for upgrades. Please refer to in-game announcements for the reopening schedule.

 

3. Elemental Domain Event Optimization 

 

1) Added Simulation Challenge Mode

Within the dungeons opened, Lords are granted 3 attempts to undertake a Simulation Challenge against the available boss. The Simulation Challenge is exclusively for testing formations.

 

2) Dungeon Ranking

Lords can view the top 10 Lords' rankings for damage dealt in that dungeon through the daily leaderboard.

 

4. Legion's Vendor and Contract Shop Adjustments

 

1) Server Migration Notice

Lords will be unable to access the Legion's Vendor and Contract Shop after server migration. Please complete all exchanges before migrating.

 

2) Shop Opening Rules

A. Lords who participated in the current season's Legion of Frostborne (joined alliance during registration period and remained in that alliance at season settlement):

The Expedition Shop and Contract Shop will open early during alliance settlement, lasting for 5 days.

B. Lords who did not participate in the current season's Legion of Frostborne:

The Expedition Shop and Contract Shop will open simultaneously after the server war period ends, lasting for 5 days.

7. Voucher Usage Confirmation

Lords will receive a spending reminder when first purchasing gift packs with vouchers each day, with an option to select "Don't remind me today." This can also be manually disabled or enabled in game settings.

 

8. Legendary Season Opening

After this version update, the standard entry process for Legendary Season will be opened. Servers that have completed Conquest Season P5 and above can enter Legendary Season.

 

9. Server Migration Command Power Calculation Optimization

1) Command Power will no longer be calculated based on individual highest power. It is now calculated using the average of the highest troop power of the top players on your server. This value updates daily at 0:00 UTC.

2) When using a Special Immigration quota, the player’s highest troop power will be compared to their Command Power. (Highest troop power can be viewed via Information Statistics.)

 

Balance Adjustment

 

1. The Forge Gold Conversion Efficiency Improvement 

Significantly increases the conversion efficiency of resources to Gold, while substantially reducing the resource consumption for Gold conversion before Level 50.
